Vivid Sky provides a number of options for the team to get the SkyBOX Personal Sports Network in the hands of the fans. The chart below illustrates the three primary distribution methods:
Even though fans have a number of ways to connect to the SkyBOX Network, the team will decide which options are available.
Fans may bring their personal WiFi-enabled device, cell phone, or mobile computer and connect to the SkyBOX Network through their web browser. Fans may find signage throughout the stadium/arena promoting the SkyBOX and pointing them to the SkyBOX URL.
Fans may receive a free device from the team to keep forever. It will arrive as a gift or thank you from the team, and will include a season-long subscription to the SkyBOX Network. The only “catch” to receiving the free MP3/Video player is that the device must be used at the games to access the SkyBOX Network. Other than that it can be used for a fan’s personal use.
Fans that sit in a Corporate Suite may have access to the SkyBOX Network through the in-suite computer system. The SkyBOX will be accessed through the computer’s keyboard and mouse, and may be viewed on the LCD/Plasma screen.
